ON-SITE LODGING

Lodge
(Is not required, but highly recommended, due to evening programming.)

A lovely, spacious log cabin right on the grounds of Horse Power and Pony Farm, make this the ideal way to come to a workshop, a clinic or for the Winter Session of the Horse Power Instructor Training School. We do strongly recommend living on site as the days are full of activity, the evenings are packed with programming or networking, the beds are comfortable and the food is fresh and delicious.

The Lodge has ten bedrooms that can accommodate a single person to a shared rooming arrangement with five people, all at different price ranges. We provide linens and towels. Each bedroom shares a bathroom with the adjoining bedroom. The bathroom has a shower. Each room has a sink and a closet. The common room has a large fireplace, dining tables and ample living space under a cathedral ceiling. A full basement is available for recreation time or movies. A library and computer room is also downstairs with high speed internet access. A full kitchen, serving home cooked meals for all tastes including vegetarians or those with special food allergies. Guests are encouraged to bring any truly special dietary needs, with shelf and refrigeration space available for your personal use. Guests are also welcome to bring their own "liquid libations", with no one under 21 able to partake, of course!

Lectures or presentations are either held in the "Great Room" or up in the smaller classroom above the kitchen, called the Tree House. Depending on size of the group and the type of presentation, other classrooms in the barn or the indoor arena with heated viewing room may also be used. We promise comfortable chairs, good writing surface for note taking, and excellent AV equipment for your learning success. It's like school but you get to learn about something you really love!

• $100 a day, with meals and snacks, for twin beds, max. 2 to the room.

ON-SITE LODGING

Typically, Instructor Training Candidates (ITC’s) for the Spring and Fall three month HPITS course live in either of these cute houses right on the farm property. Each house has two bedrooms, one bigger and one smaller, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room and bathroom. The Cottage also has a mud room, a dining nook and a shower/tub combination. The Bunkhouse has a larger living room with a bathroom with only a shower. Both houses are heated by any one of the combination of electric, propane and wood stove. Utilities are shared by participants. ITC’s buy and cook their own food, often sharing in meal prep. Laundry is done in town. Every other week, Boo hosts a Pot Luck at her house just for fun and frivolity! ITC’s spend about half their weekends doing events here at the farm and traveling home the other weekends to see family or friends. Repairs are done by farm staff. The expectation is that the houses will be kept clean and in tidy order by the ITC’s, in the spirit of respect. Just like everything here at the farm!

• $1,600 for a double with bunk beds.

• $1,800 for a double with twin beds.

These two houses are fully furnished with full cooking facilities. All utilities are paid by participants. A $200 Security Deposit is required and fully refunded if the housing is in order. Computer internet access is available. No pets allowed, please.

• Deposit for housing of $500, which includes the $200 Security deposit due upon acceptance to the program

• Payment of $500 due upon arrival.
