Horse Power Instructor Training School

2008 HP INTENSIVE COURSE DATES: FRIDAY JANUARY 18TH THROUGH SUNDAY JANUARY 27TH.

HP Intensive Course is designed for the Therapeutic Horsemanship Instructor, Educator, Mental Health professional or farm owner who wishes to benefit from the assistance of horse in working with students with mental health or learning challenges.
The course was developed in response to a need for an educational program offering that did not require three months of time from participants.

Program highlights include:
• extensive lectures from well known and respected national level EFMHA presenters;
• in depth reading and reflection;
• stimulating discussion;
• hands on Horsemanship with a large herd of therapy horses.

Participants will glean the core content of material necessary to safely, effectively provide Equine Assisted Activities, Equine Assisted Learning or Equine Facilitated Mental Health programs (depending on educational background and credentialing of the course participants).

****Please note that this HPITS Intensive course is held over Martin Luther King's Birthday weekend so professionals need only miss four days of work.

On-Site Lodging and Meals at Lodge at Pony Farm are available and recommended due to the intensity of this course.
